Piskovi (Altaiski) Ozera Park is located between Gordynskykh and Konovaltsia Streets in the Frankivskyi district of the city.
It was a prestigious district with family villas, which are dated back to the beginning of the 20th century. The lakes were formed due to water leakage to the bottom of the sand channel.
The park was arranged in the 1960s on the territories of a destroyed landscape, where used to be former sandstone quarries. Young students took an active part in its arrangement.
The tram route No. 2 connects the park with a city centre. It was here where the local mega popular song "Starenkyi Tramvai" ("Old Tram") was written. There are lakes, cycle tracks, playgrounds, recreation areas.
