Borys Voznytskyi Lviv Art Gallery represents the largest collection of European art in Lviv. It owns several historic buildings, among which the former palace of the Potocki family at the present Kopernyka street attracts particular attention. For its construction Count Alfred II Potocki invited a French architect Louis Alfons Rene Alfred Dauverqne. In the future, other architects introduced design changes to the palace several times.
The house had 102 rooms. There were a so-called Red (Main) salon, a “White Hall” (Ballroom) with the gallery for musicians, a dining room (called Blue or Banquet Salon), a Fireplace salon, a cabinet of the Count and Lord Ordynat, "Blue", "Pink", "Red" rooms and a bedroom.
While visiting the exposition, particular attention should be paid to the artworks of several representatives of classical Dutch painting, as well as to a very good selection of works of Polish, Italian and Austrian artists.
