Sosnowski Palace

  • Architecture
  • Out of city center

Sosnowski Palace is known among the Lviv citizens as the House-Castle.

In 1901, the architect Józef Sosnovski built it for himself. He was one of the innovators in the sphere of architecture and used modern construction technologies in his projects.

People on the territory of Lviv and in the Carpathian region still successfully use the buildings designed by him. It is obvious that while planning his own home J. Sosnowski decided to create an original building that could impress the citizens with unusual architecture. Due to the annex of the corner tower to the main building, the palace looks like a knight castle and still creates the illusion of travelling back to medieval times.

In the style of its building, the experts find the elements that are specific to the Palestinian-Moorish style.
