The exposition is located in the building of the former Dominican monastery. In 1559, there was a real war for the bride in this church and on the square in front of it, applying all the particularities of the military strategy. At that time, the city experienced a difficult period, as the Polish szlachta (privileged noble class) had almost unlimited freedom and was able to attack even such a centre as Lviv.
For example, during several weeks Magnate Lukash Gurka was demanding the release of his wife, Halshka Ostrozka, from the monastery and thus almost paralysed the daily life of citizens. When he managed to stop the water supply to the monks, they surrendered and released Halshka.
The filmmakers love shooting the construction of the church and the monastery. Nowadays in the museum are demonstrated in interesting way the peculiarities of the appearance and development of the main religions of the world. The museum actively conducts scientific, educational work as well as excursions.
