At the end of the summer, the long-awaited opening of the first inclusive space for non-formal education in Ukraine - Sensotec - took place. The activity began with a special exhibition of sculpture called "You can touch".
Sensotec is a modern and well-equipped library (with books in Braille) with study areas, space for collaboration and creation, a hall for events and exhibitions, and a kitchen to spend even more time here! In particular, the location is fully accessible for people with disabilities and is the first inclusive non-formal education in Ukraine. Employees report that free English language courses in inclusive groups (with visually impaired adolescents), art therapy with children with autism, inclusive art workshops and celebrations, training and seminars are held at Sensotec.
The project was implemented with the help of the creative staff of the library system for adults in Lviv and the public organization "Institute of Ukrainian Students (ICS)" to support the management of culture of Lviv.
