It is probably the most famous modern museum in Lviv.
More than 800 best works of sculptor Mykhailo Dzyndra have been collected there. After the World War II, the artist was forced to leave his homeland and move to the United States. There he was a member of the so-called group "10 Ukrainian artists of New York".
His works in abstract art style were noticed and positively evaluated by American critics. After Ukraine had gained independence, M. Dzyndra decided to return and when he already was in Lviv, he passed his collection to the city as a gift.
Today it is a department of the Lviv Art Gallery, which is located in Briukhovychi, a village near Lviv.
