For the first time, Lviv National Opera presents a great performance of Symphony №3 by Ukrainian composer Borys Lyatoshynsky, one of the most famous Ukrainian works of the 20th century in the world context.
The tragic emotional work describes the war experience as a personal tragedy and a tragedy of humanity. The composer wrote his definitive Symphony №3 short after World War II. After the first triumphant performance, the symphony faced severe criticism from Soviet authorities, and the composer was forced to rewrite it partially. Borys Lyatoshynsky’s Symphony №3 will be performed at the concert in its first edition in 1951.
