On November 11, 2022, at 4 pm, the Scientific and Technical Library of Lviv Polytechnic National University will host a lecture "Transformation of Oleksa Novakivskyi: Photographs and Works", organized by the Ukrainian Photographic Society together with the Oleksa Novakivskyi Art and Memorial Museum (a department of the Andrey Sheptytskyi National Museum in Lviv). The lecture will be delivered by Iryna Rizun, head of the Olexa Novakivsky Museum. This year we celebrate the 150th anniversary of the original Ukrainian artist and teacher.
During the event, visitors will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the complex and eventful life of Oleksa Novakivskyi. This biography is recorded in the photographs of famous photographers, in particular, Y. Koval, L. Yanushevych, M. Pezhansky, friends and students of the artist and in many works of the outstanding artist. Also, you will be able to trace the changes and transformations of themes, images, artistic handwriting of the artist, looking at the images of graphic and pictorial works of O. Novakivsky from the collection of the NML and private collections.
